Web design for locksmiths

Websites for locksmiths that get the call when someone's locked out

Someone stood outside their own front door at night searches on a phone, picks the first locksmith who looks real and nearby, and rings. I build locksmiths' sites around that moment: your number at the top of every page, the areas you cover written out, and what you do, said plainly.

The work

See it on a locksmith's site

I haven't built for a real locksmith yet, so I built one. Clo Locksmiths is made up, but it's a complete site. Pick a door, then what has happened, and see what the site tells someone locked out.

Clo Locksmiths

A one-page site for a locksmith, built for someone stood outside their own front door at night. Pick the door, then what has happened, to see what usually happens next, an example time and an example price, then ring or book from it.

What a locksmith's website needs

  • A number you can tap, at the top

Before anything else. Most lockout calls come from a phone, from someone who is cold, stressed and not going to scroll.

  • The areas you cover

Every town and district written out, so Google can match you to "locksmith Penarth" and the caller knows you can actually get to them.

  • The services you offer

Lockouts, lock changes, uPVC door repairs, snapped keys and new keys cut, each written out so the right job finds you.

  • An idea of time and price

How soon you can get there and roughly what a callout costs. It is the first thing a locked-out customer wants to know, and the thing most sites hide.

  • Proof you are who you say

Your name, your face and your van, and any membership or vetting you hold, linked so it can be checked. A locked-out customer is letting a stranger open their door.

  • A Google listing that matches

Same name, number and areas as the site, and a website link that actually works.

Paying for it

Fixed price, or pay monthly?

A lot of trade websites are sold as a monthly plan. Mine are a one-off build that you own. Here's the honest difference, so you can choose with your eyes open.

A pay-monthly plan

  • Spreads the cost, which can suit a business just starting out
  • Check who owns the site, and the domain, if you ever leave
  • Check what a change costs, and whether the price is fixed in writing
  • Work out the total over a few years, not just the first month

A one-off build with me

  • From £750, fixed before any work starts, no VAT added
  • Yours after final payment: the site, the files and the domain
  • Care plans are optional, from £35 a month, and you can cancel with 30 days' notice
  • No compulsory monthly rental, ever

Hosting and third-party costs are confirmed separately, before you agree to anything.

Yes, once the final payment is made. If you ever leave, I transfer everything to you within two weeks.

How long does it take?

Typically 7 to 14 days once the scope and your content are agreed.

Is Clo Locksmiths a real business?

No. It's a concept I built to show how I'd do a locksmith's site. There are no real reviews, jobs or customers on it.

Can you help me get more Google reviews?

Yes. Review Requests is £15 a month: after a job your customer gets one polite email with your Google review link and one reminder five days later. See Review Requests
