Web design for cleaning businesses

Websites for cleaning businesses

Cleaning is a trust business. Someone is handing you a key to their home or their office, usually every week, and they choose from reviews and a site that looks organised. I build cleaners' sites around that: what you clean, where, roughly what it costs, your reviews, and a form that asks the right questions.

The work

I haven't built for a cleaner yet. Here's the process on two real sites.

There's no cleaning site to show you, and I won't pretend otherwise. What I can show you is how the build goes: a flooring business whose site I rebuilt, and a landscaping business that had no site at all. The process for a cleaning business is the same.

What a cleaning business's website needs

  • What you clean, and what you don't

Regular domestic cleans, end of tenancy, offices, ovens, carpets: each written out, so the right customers find you and the wrong jobs don't fill your inbox.

  • The areas you cover

Every town and district written out, so Google can match you to "cleaner Whitchurch" and a customer knows you will come to them.

  • An idea of the price

An hourly rate or an example price for a typical clean. People choosing a weekly cleaner want a rough figure before they get in touch.

  • Your reviews, up front

Real reviews from regular customers, with your Google reviews linked so they can be checked. For a cleaner, reviews are the whole decision.

  • A form that asks the right things

Property size, how often, and when. You can price most regular cleans from that, without a visit.

  • A Google listing that matches

Same name, number and areas as the site, and a website link that actually works.

Paying for it

Fixed price, or pay monthly?

A lot of small business websites are sold as a monthly plan. Mine are a one-off build that you own. Here's the honest difference, so you can choose with your eyes open.

A pay-monthly plan

  • Spreads the cost, which can suit a business just starting out
  • Check who owns the site, and the domain, if you ever leave
  • Check what a change costs, and whether the price is fixed in writing
  • Work out the total over a few years, not just the first month

A one-off build with me

  • From £750, fixed before any work starts, no VAT added
  • Yours after final payment: the site, the files and the domain
  • Care plans are optional, from £35 a month, and you can cancel with 30 days' notice
  • No compulsory monthly rental, ever

Hosting and third-party costs are confirmed separately, before you agree to anything.

Add-ons

Add on when you need it.

Each of these works on its own and bolts onto the site. Start with the website, add the rest when the business needs it.

  • £15 a month

    Review Requests

After a job, your customer gets one polite email with your Google review link, and one reminder five days later. Regular customers are the best reviewers you have.

  • From £350

An automatic reply to every enquiry

One workflow: the moment an enquiry lands, the customer gets a reply in your name and you get the details on your phone. Nobody waits until the evening to hear back.

  • £195, one off

    Local Search Audit

Already have a site? Where you rank on Google, who is beating you, and the ordered list of what to fix first. Credited in full against a build if you go ahead within 30 days.
