ConceptA made-up businessTocio Garden Care is a made-up business, built by Coreframe Digital. The quote form works and sends nothing.
Tocio (say tock-yo) is Welsh for trimming.
A tidy garden without giving up your Saturdays.
Lawns, hedges and borders across Barry, the Vale and Cowbridge. A regular visit, or one big tidy to get it back under control.

The garden year.
What a garden in the Vale needs, month by month, and what a visit covers then.
Pick a month to see what a garden needs then, and what a visit covers.
March to August is nesting season. Hedges get a light trim at most, and we check before we cut, because damaging an active nest is an offence.
Price a regular visit
Pick the size of the garden and how often. You'll see an example price for each visit, and what a visit includes.
Example price
£30 a visit(example)
What's included
Mowing and edging, a weed through the borders, and hedges trimmed in season.
Example prices for a concept site. Real prices depend on the garden, the access and what's growing.
What we do
Garden maintenance, not building work. The same jobs, done well, on a round you can set your calendar by.
Lawns
Mowing and edging through the season, and raking out, spiking and reseeding in the autumn.
Hedges
A light trim in spring and summer once checked for nests, and the main cut from late summer.
Hedge cut from £80 (example)
Borders and weeding
Weeding, deadheading, cutting back and mulching, so the beds stay tidy between visits.
One-off tidy-ups
One big visit for a garden that has got away from you, then you choose what happens next.
Leaves
Raking and clearing lawns, paths and borders in the autumn, more than once if the trees need it.
Leaf clear-up from £50 (example)
One big tidy
When a garden has got away from you, one long visit gets it back under control: cutting back, weeding, mowing and clearing. After that, it's easier to keep on top of, by you or on a regular visit.
One-off tidies from £60 (example), depending on the size.

What we don't do
- Big trees. They go to a tree surgeon, and we'll say so.
- Patios, fencing or landscaping builds.
Green waste
Concept note Tocio is made up, so it makes no claim about taking waste away. Anyone who takes garden waste away from your home should be registered as a waste carrier with Natural Resources Wales. Ask to see it before they take anything.
Areas and days
Barry, Rhoose, Llantwit Major, Cowbridge and the villages between. Each place has its own day, so a regular visit lands on the same day every time.
| Monday | Barry |
|---|---|
| Tuesday | Rhoose, Font-y-gary and Penmark |
| Wednesday | Llantwit Major, Boverton and St Athan |
| Thursday | Cowbridge, Aberthin and Llysworney |

Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm. Visits in daylight, rearranged in heavy rain.
Ask about a visit
Tell us about the garden and how often you'd like a visit, and we'll reply with an example price and a day.

Questions
Do I need to be in?
No. As long as we can get into the garden, by a side gate or a back lane, you don't need to be home. Tell us how to get in when you ask about a visit.
What happens when it rains?
Light rain, we carry on. In heavy rain we rearrange the visit for the next dry day, and let you know before we do.
Can you take the clippings away?
Ask any gardener whether they are a registered waste carrier before they take garden waste away. Anyone who does should be registered with Natural Resources Wales, and you can ask to see it. Clippings can also go in your own garden waste bin or on a compost heap.
